Pinzon Island

Play with Penguins

Pinzón Island is an excelent combination of water activities and wildlife. The entire island is protected so it is prohibited to go ashore but that is okay because the focus is the marine diversity located offshore. While snorkeling off of Pinzón island it is very common to encounter playful sea lions, sea turtles, white-tipped sharks and even Galapagos Penguins! Located a few hours off of Baltra Island, Pinzón is a great destination if you want unique snorkeling experiences with smaller crowds.

En route to Pinzon you pass by Nameless Island, which is in the middle of a large Tuna run that often attracts sea birds and other wildlife. If the fish are running you may have a chance to drop a few lines to try your luck at hooking some of these powerful pelagic fish.
